(1) Trekking tourists or teams or trekking agencies must take out personal accident insurance for accompanying Nepali citizens before starting the trek.
(2) Trekking tourists or teams must provide facilities including daily wages, necessary clothes and equipment to the Nepali citizens accompanying them, not less than the amount determined by the Government of Nepal.
(3) In case of injury, dismemberment or death of a person who is required to be insured in accordance with sub-rule (1) due to non-insured work, an amount equivalent to what he would have received if he had been insured for personal accident shall be paid to him or his next of kin. The agency or team will have to give as compensation.
